Grant Program

Janesville Area CrimeStoppers accepts applications for one-time grant disbursements. CrimeStoppers will consider requests for funding of unbudgeted programs or items directly relating to our mission of crime prevention or apprehension. 

 

In November 2005, CrimeStoppers gave $7,500 to the Janesville Police Department to allow the department to purchase a Breach Training Door and other equipment.

In September 2005, CrimeStoppers gave $300 to the Janesville Boys and Girls Club to help finance their annual Halloween Party.
 
In August 2005, CrimeStoppers gave $100 to the Milton Police Department to purchase interview recording equipment.

Other Significant Grants Awarded:

2004:  $1,500 to YWCA of Rock County's CARE House to provide CODE AMBER child safety/child ID service at a large community event
 
2003:  $4,634 to YWCA of Rock County's CARE House to fund training for interviewing mistreated children

2000:  $1,000 to Janesville Police Department for ink pads for fingerprinting

2000:  $10,000 to Rock County Sheriff's Department for Livescan fingerprint system

1999:  $9,425 to Janesville Police Department for surveillance equipment
