About Janesville Area

Janesville Area CrimeStoppers is a non-profit organization founded in 1984. We are a civic group whose entire purpose is to help local law enforcement in the prevention of crime and the apprehension of criminals. Our board of directors is made up entirely of community-minded citizens, supported by the Janesville Police Department, the Rock County Sheriff’s Department, and the Rock County District Attorney’s Office.

Janesville Area CrimeStoppers is completely funded by
donations and our annual golf outing fundraiser.
Janesville
Area CrimeStoppers offers rewards of up to $1,000 for information on a crime or
criminal activity. Informants can remain completely anonymous.

CrimeStoppers
also works with the Janesville and Milton school districts to prevent weapons
and drugs from appearing on in our schools. Students reporting the presence of
weapons or drugs are eligible for a same day $50 cash reward. For more

Besides
rewards, Janesville Area CrimeStoppers also provides college scholarships.
Janesville and Milton high school students planning on going to school for law
enforcement degrees are eligible to apply. Requirements and application

enforcement or other organizations for crime prevention programs. For
