Wanted by the Janesville Police Department: Armed Robbery 2008-06-05

Armed Robbery Janesville police are seeking an armed robbery suspect. At about 10 AM Thursday, June 5, 2008, a 34-year-old Janesville woman reported she was walking on the 1000 block of Jackson Street when she was approached by a black man in his mid-twenties. The suspect was riding a black mountain bike with silver lightning bolts. The suspect demanded she turn over money. He did not display a weapon but threatened to stab the victim. She turned over a small amount of money. The suspect fled on the bicycle and was last seen eastbound on Delavan Drive heading towards Beloit Avenue.

The suspect is described as around six foot tall and 140 pounds. He was wearing a blue baseball cap, black wind jacket with a white stripe on the right sleeve, black matching jogger's pants and white tennis shoes.

* Black Male, Mid 20’s
* 6’00” to 6’01”
* 140-150lbs
* Bald
* Medium to dark skin tone
* Thin Build

CLOTHING

* Dark blue or black colored nylon sweat type jacket and pants
* White stripe or writing on right sleeve
* Blue baseball style hat worn backwards

Suspects often attempt to change their appearance after a police sketch is released. Citizens are asked to be aware of anyone who suddenly attempts to change their appearance in any way.
